There are 12 characters in colour here each having a different role to play in helping us. Children can talk about the jobs that they do. Does any one person have a more important job to do than the others? Why or why not? Sheet 2 LO - To use text as a stimulus for writing thank you letters to people who help us. There are 2 examples here of letters written by children to a school cook and a postman. Sheets 3 - 4 LO -To show appreciation for our community workers by writing a letter of thank you. There are 4 colour frames that children can choose from to write their thank you letters or to help them with ideas for making their own. Sheet 5 - Shows some key words that children may want to include in their letters and space to make a draft letter.
